High-Speed Rail (HSR) – Phase 1

Elsewedy Machinery, through its strategic partnership with Hitachi Cooling and Heating, is delivering advanced HVAC solutions for Egypt’s High-Speed Rail (HSR) project, one of the country’s largest national infrastructure developments spanning 660 km.

This mega project required highly adaptable HVAC systems capable of operating efficiently across multiple climatic zones. Elsewedy Machinery provided a fully compliant solution supported by comprehensive technical studies and rigorous factory testing for all components.

Working in close coordination with the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT), the main contractor, and project consultants, the team ensured seamless project execution by delivering precise documentation and timely technical clarifications throughout the approval process. This proactive, data-driven approach enabled strict compliance with complex specifications while maintaining commercial competitiveness, positioning HITACHI as a trusted HVAC partner for Egypt’s high-speed rail network.

• Scope: Supply and installation of HVAC systems, including 2,862 IDU units and 307 ODU units, with a total capacity of 11,000 TR, serving the High-Speed Rail network.
