Metro Line 4 – Phase 1

Elsewedy Machinery, representing Hyundai, is delivering 148 high-performance escalators across 12 stations of Cairo’s Metro Line 4, one of Egypt’s most important national infrastructure projects. Working closely with the National Authority for Tunnels and all main contractors, the team ensured that every escalator met strict specifications for safety, durability, and heavy-duty performance.

The escalators have been designed to handle intensive passenger traffic and continuous operation while being fully adapted to Egypt’s climatic conditions. Customized models, technical modifications, and close coordination with engineering teams ensured seamless integration and readiness for future installation. Through this effort, Elsewedy Machinery reinforces its commitment to providing safe, reliable, and future-ready mobility solutions that support the growth of Egypt’s public transport network.
